Wish me luck!

Well, we are off to Tahoe in the morning and I hear the high is freezing and the low is below freezing. Wish us luck that we don't get frozen in a huge block of ice! Hey Di, I hope you make it out of Utah with all your toes! -Sariah

Happy New year!

swimming hole

After camping we brought the Gibson's home with us for a few days. It was so stinking hot! We went up one of the mountains to the Madden's and they took us to a swimming hole near their house. We had a lot of fun!

Kelsey took a while to decide if she would jump off the little "cliff".

It took a long time, but she finally made the jump.

It really does look bigger from the top. That is Lucas taking the plundge.

I am sure when it warms up again, we will be headed back, we had too much fun.

Camping in Morro Bay

Well, I was trying to figure out where to start this blog thing and I decided to start with this summer. I already sent pictures of our Boston trip and I can't see where the Tahoe pictures are so I decided to move straight ahead to the 4th of July. We had a great big Dow/Gibson Campout at Morro Bay and it was so very nice to escape the Bakersfield heat. Lowell found a fun place for us to camp just a few steps away from the beach. We had John and Jeanette, Lowell and I with our kids representing the Dows. From the Gibson clan, we had both Brice and George along with their families. We had a great time swimming in the freezing water and playing cards. Thanks for coming guys!

Here is the youngest of the kids - Josh and Max, Lucas, Natalia, Tayler and Kelsey.

The girls were always happy to pose for the camera.

The kids just had a small walk around the bushes to get to the beach. Having older kids to "lifegaurd" was great for me too!

Kaj tried out a shaved head this summer.

Lucas, Josh, Max and the rest of the kids checked out the tide pools. That is Morro Rock in the background.

Kelsey was content finding buckets full of shells!

Wonderful Wednesday

Today has been a calm and regular Wednesday. K. had a visit today and everything was normal. The girls are dragging their feet on cleaning their room and getting school work done. Kelsey did History and Science. She learned about Mummies and weather. Lowell finally got his yearly review and it was wonderful! His boss had so many nice things to say about him. He said it was the highest review of any managers there right now. I am so proud of him. I am glad that he knows that even if the company does not survive, it survived a lot longer than it would have with him running it.
